Principal’s Desk

We have left behind the epoch of injustice, wherein Dronacharya got the thumb of Eklavya cut off in order to disable a tribal archer. In this era we are resolute to empower our tribal brethren to put them on the path of mainstream development. Eklavya Model Residential School is an integral part of that movement.
After taking over the management responsibility of this School from the Welfare Department of Jharkhand in the year 2007, the School has improved a lot both in terms of infrastructure and number of classes. It was a high School at the time of handing over to KPS Trust and now the School has Plus Two facilities having two streams – Science and Arts.
Providing Quality Education is the priority of KPS Trust, which includes a set of extra and co-curricular activities. A team of well-educated and trained teachers, who are boarders of the School, toils day in and day out to excel in all the activities. I take this opportunity to thank them profusely for the dedicated service they are rendering. We are also thankful to the Trust for introducing latest digital teaching technique, which is called Smart Class.
The School has earned a lot of admiration from the visiting dignitaries for the quality maintained in food and lodging, cleanliness, attendance & discipline of the students, gardening, overall academic performance and innovative practices. They have also appreciated the Solar Water Heater device and up gradation of our Laboratories. All these were possible due to the professional expertise put in by the Trust. We are thankful to them.
On this occasion of launching our website, on behalf of all the students and teachers of the School, I renew our resolution that Eklavya will be a centre of excellent tribal education in near future.
We are also thankful to all the officials of Department of Welfare, Government of Jharkhand and the Jharkhand Academic Council for the help, guidance and cooperation we receive, which facilitate us to run our School and the Hostel smoothly.
